About HarboCharge
HarboCharge is building India's next generation of EV charging infrastructure for electric 2-wheelers, 3-wheelers and 4-wheelers. Every month, thousands of riders charge with us. The reason our network grows is not just good hardware — it's the humans who go out, find new locations, convince shop owners and building managers to host us, and get riders to show up. That's the problem you'll help us solve.
About the role
You'll report directly to the founder and own the growth of our Bangalore charging network end-to-end. Your leads become our real host partners. Your campaigns bring real riders to real chargers. You'll own big pieces of work from day one, make real decisions, and see your output on the map — not sit through sprint planning meetings.
What you'll do
- Identify and prospect new host partners — cafes, parking lots, apartment societies, petrol pumps, shops, dark stores, auto workshops, offices
- Cold call, walk in, pitch, and close hosts interested in installing our chargers
- Run site feasibility conversations and handover qualified leads to our ops team for installation
- Make our existing chargers more discoverable — Google Maps optimization, EV apps, Plugshare, community groups, signage, local WhatsApp networks
- Run on-ground activations — flyers, QR standees, partnerships with EV 2W/3W dealerships, service centers, and fleet offices
- Build HarboCharge's brand presence in Bangalore's EV community via social media, local meetups, rider WhatsApp groups
- Track every lead, conversion, and campaign in a simple CRM — we measure what we do
- Work directly with the founder on growth strategy — every pitch, every campaign, every new channel will be discussed, challenged, and owned by you
What you'll learn
By the end of 2 months, you'll have personally grown our host network and rider base in Bangalore. You'll have hands-on experience with:
- B2B sales — cold outreach, pitch structure, objection handling, closing
- On-ground activation — running physical campaigns in real neighborhoods, measuring what works
- Channel strategy — testing and scaling acquisition channels from scratch
- Local SEO & discoverability — Google Maps, EV apps, third-party listings, community placement
- Partnership building — identifying, approaching, and converting strategic partners
- Growth analytics — lead tracking, funnel metrics, conversion math, unit economics
- Startup operations — working at the pace of a founder-led early-stage company
This is the kind of experience you cannot get from a classroom, a textbook, or a typical internship at a big company where interns run social media calendars and make decks. You'll be building the growth engine of a real EV infrastructure company.
Must-have
- Pre-final or final-year student (any stream — BBA, MBA, Marketing, Commerce, Engineering, Mass Comm, Economics — stream matters less than hustle)
- Strong communication skills in English and either Kannada or Hindi
- Comfortable cold-calling strangers, walking into shops, and pitching face-to-face
- Self-starter who doesn't wait to be told what to do next — you make the plan, you execute it
- Owns a two-wheeler or is comfortable traveling across Bangalore daily
- Basic data literacy — comfortable with Excel / Google Sheets, can track and report numbers honestly
- Available 5 days a week, physically in Bangalore, for the full 2 months
Strong nice-to-haves
- Prior experience in sales, fundraising, event organizing, college fest sponsorships, or running a side hustle
- Active on LinkedIn / Instagram / Twitter with proof you understand what good content looks like
- Experience running campaigns in a club, society, or previous internship
- Some understanding of how EVs work and the charging landscape in India
- Comfort with tools like Google Workspace, Notion, HubSpot (free tier), Canva
- Personal portfolio of growth projects — campaigns you ran, content you made, events you organized
Bonus — we'll interview you first
- Already know 5+ potential host locations in Bangalore that would be great for our chargers
- Have your own following or engaged network on social media
- Have written about EV, sustainability, or tech topics publicly
- Have worked with EV / mobility / quick commerce / dark store companies before
- Fluent in Kannada (huge advantage for local host conversations)
Who you're not
- Someone looking for remote work — this is an on-site, on-ground role
- Someone who wants a "pure marketing" desk job making posters and scheduling Instagram posts
- Someone uncomfortable with rejection — sales means you get told no a lot, then you keep going
- Someone who needs constant hand-holding to know what to do next
How we work
- Small team, fast pace. Decisions are made in minutes, not meetings.
- Founder-led mentorship. You will be mentored directly by the founder, not delegated to a manager.
- Real ownership. You own the growth pipeline end-to-end — prospect, pitch, close, and measure.
- Ship, learn, iterate. Try a channel for 1 week. If it works, scale. If it doesn't, kill it. Move to the next.
- AI-augmented growth. We use modern tools (Claude, ChatGPT, automation) to do the work of a 5-person team with 1. You'll learn how to work with AI as a teammate.
- Honesty over hierarchy. If a pitch isn't working, say so. If a lead is dead, say so. We fix it together.

Important to know
- This is an on-site, on-ground role. You'll be out in the field across Bangalore — not at a desk all day.
- We prefer candidates based in Bangalore or willing to relocate for the internship period.
- Candidates from any college are welcome. We care about hustle and skill, not brand names.
- Women are strongly encouraged to apply. Our hiring is based 100% on skill and fit, not background.
A note from the founder
Most marketing internships in India are glorified Canva assignments. That's not what this is.
If you join us, you'll walk into shops, make real calls, get real rejections, and close real partnerships. You'll work hard — harder than most of your classmates in bigger companies. But you'll walk out with a portfolio of wins, a network of contacts, and a set of skills that will put you years ahead in your career.
If that sounds like you, apply.
